Pro
1. Contactless Payments: Snapper Mobile enables users to make quick and secure contactless payments, reducing the need to carry cash and speeding up transaction times at point-of-sale terminals.
2. Balance Tracking: The app offers real-time balance tracking and history, allowing users to efficiently manage their spending and budget for upcoming expenses.
3. Top-Up Convenience: Users can conveniently top up their Snapper card through the mobile app from anywhere, saving time and eliminating the need to find a physical top-up location.
Con
1. Limited Compatibility: Snapper Mobile is tailored specifically for use in New Zealand, which limits its functionality for international users or travelers who need a more globally accepted solution.
2. Feature Restrictions: Some users might find that the app offers limited features compared to other transportation or ticketing apps, lacking in areas such as route planning or multimodal transport support.
3. Reliance on NFC: The app requires NFC technology for ticketing, which may exclude users with older or incompatible smartphones that do not support NFC, thereby reducing its accessibility and convenience for a portion of potential users.
