Pro
1. Missed Notification Indicator: NotifyBuddy simulates an LED notification light for phones lacking this feature, prominently alerting users to unread notifications even with the screen off.
2. Customization: The app allows users to personalize the LED color and blink interval for different apps, enabling easy identification of the notification's source at a glance.
3. Minimal Battery Usage: NotifyBuddy is designed to have a minimal impact on battery life, utilizing OLED screens' ability to light individual pixels to display the notification LED without lighting up the entire screen.
Con
1. Battery Consumption: NotifyBuddy can increase battery usage because it keeps the screen on with an LED simulation, potentially leading to faster battery drain compared to traditional LED notifications.
2. Burn-in Risk: Prolonged use of the same pixels for the LED simulation can cause OLED screen burn-in, where faint images remain visible even when the screen is off.
3. Limited Customization: Some users find the customization options for the notification LED colors and patterns to be insufficient, reducing the app's personalization appeal compared to built-in notification LEDs.
