Uniswap

Pros

Uniswap Wallet gives users full control of private keys and seed phrases with encrypted local storage, secure enclave protection, and biometric unlocking. Built-in permission controls, clear seed-backup flows, and transaction previews reduce phishing risk and unauthorized approvals, delivering robust non-custodial security without third-party custody.

The wallet integrates Uniswap’s AMM and smart routing to execute fast token swaps at competitive prices across supported networks. Users can access Ethereum, popular Layer-2s, and selected chains in one app, reducing friction, optimizing gas usage, and providing transparent on-chain trade execution with broad liquidity access.

The app showcases NFT galleries, simplified minting, and collection views alongside real-time token portfolio tracking, price alerts, and detailed transaction history. An intuitive interface, integrated dApp browser, and ENS support make it easy to manage assets, discover NFTs, and interact with Web3 services from one secure, mobile-friendly experience.

Cons

High Ethereum gas fees and slippage can make small swaps prohibitively expensive. While the Uniswap wallet supports some layer‑2 networks, users still face unpredictable transaction costs, failed transactions, and front‑running risks on congested chains, reducing usability for low‑value trades and frequent rebalancing.

As a non‑custodial wallet, Uniswap requires users to manage private keys and seed phrases. That control increases responsibility—losing credentials or falling for phishing leads to irreversible fund loss. Built‑in recovery options and real‑time customer assistance are limited, placing a heavy security burden on less experienced users.

The app emphasizes swaps and NFT management but lacks native advanced trading tools like limit orders, stop‑losses, and professional charting. Power traders may find the feature set restricted, and community or ticket‑based support can be slow, complicating dispute resolution and on‑chain troubleshooting.
