Pros
Truist Mobile puts full account access in your pocket — view balances and transaction history, deposit checks, pay bills, and move money anytime. An intuitive account overview, quick actions, and branch/ATM locator streamline everyday banking, while customizable real-time alerts keep you informed and save time for busy, on-the-go customers.
Robust security features including Face ID or Touch ID, multi-factor authentication, and bank-grade encryption protect your information. Get instant fraud alerts, lock or replace cards from the app, and communicate securely with support. These safeguards give peace of mind without sacrificing the convenience of fast, mobile banking.
Truist Mobile streamlines payments and money management with Zelle for instant peer-to-peer transfers, bill pay and scheduled payments, categorized spending and alerts, and easy linking of external accounts. These tools help reduce late fees, simplify transfers, and provide clearer spending insights so users can budget and plan confidently.
Cons
Some users find the Truist Mobile app lacks the full functionality of the online banking site or branch services. Advanced business tools, detailed loan and investment management, and certain account administration features may be limited or absent, requiring users to switch to the desktop site or visit a branch for complex transactions.
Intermittent performance problems have been reported, including slow load times, occasional crashes, and login errors after updates. These issues can disrupt quick transactions such as mobile deposits, forcing users to retry or use alternative channels. App reliability may vary across devices, operating systems, and network conditions.
In-app customer support and troubleshooting can be limited; complex problems often require calling Truist customer service or visiting a branch. Chatbots and automated help may not resolve disputes, account holds, or technical issues quickly, which is frustrating when immediate, personalized assistance is needed outside regular banking hours.
