Chevron

Pros

The Chevron app enables fast, secure mobile and contactless payments so you can pay at the pump or in-store from your phone. Saved payment methods, in-app receipts, and quick checkout reduce time spent refueling while protecting payment data with standard security measures—ideal for commuters and frequent travelers.

Built-in loyalty and savings features deliver targeted offers, digital coupons, and fuel discounts that help users lower fueling and convenience-store costs. The app tracks reward redemptions, displays personalized promotions based on usage, and makes it easy to apply savings at checkout for consistent value every time you refuel.

Robust station search and trip-planning tools let you find nearby Chevron locations, view fuel prices, amenities, hours, and available services. Map filters for diesel, electric charging, car wash, and convenience stores streamline route planning and decision-making, making journeys more efficient and reducing time spent searching for needed services.

Cons

Occasional performance and reliability issues—slow loading, app freezes, or unexpected crashes—can interrupt station lookups and mobile payments. These problems tend to appear on older devices or during high-traffic periods, leaving users unable to complete transactions or access rewards quickly, and cause delays at the pump.

Rewards and offer redemption can be confusing and limited. Points accrual rules, expiration dates, and coupon restrictions are not always clearly communicated, and some promotional deals aren’t accepted at all locations or during mobile-pay transactions. This inconsistency makes it hard to predict value, causing frustration when discounts fail to apply at checkout.

Not every Chevron or Texaco station supports full app functionality—features like pay-at-pump, digital receipts, or localized promotions may be unavailable at some locations. Station details and real-time fuel prices can be outdated, requiring users to call ahead or visit the site, reducing utility for trip planning, especially during long trips.
