Quick order flows let you create prints, cards, and gifts on the go—ideal for busy users who want fast, reliable photo preservation and easy reordering.

Extensive customization tools let you design personalized photo books, holiday and event cards, calendars, and unique keepsakes. Hundreds of templates, fonts, and layout options make it simple to craft professional-looking products, while photo editing features and preview tools ensure every creation fits your vision for gifts or home display.

Shutterfly delivers professional-quality prints and durable photo products using high-grade materials and color-accurate printing. Fast production and reliable shipping options, plus frequent promotions and responsive customer support, make it a dependable choice for meaningful gifts and long-lived keepsakes—backed by secure cloud storage and order tracking.

Cons

Shutterfly’s physical-product orders often come with relatively high shipping fees and longer-than-expected delivery windows for custom items, photo books, and gifts. Even with frequent promotions, shipping costs and extended turnaround times can erode savings and make the service less convenient for users who need quick, low-cost prints or last-minute presents.

The mobile app can feel sluggish or unstable when handling large albums or many high-resolution images, and its in-app editing tools are more limited than Shutterfly’s web interface. Layout controls and photo adjustments are often less precise on mobile, forcing users to switch to a desktop browser for advanced customization and final edits.

Pricing and promotions can be confusing—discounts, minimums, and add-on fees sometimes lead to unexpected charges at checkout. A portion of customers also report occasional inconsistencies in print color, cropping, or material quality, and longer customer service response times when resolving order or quality issues, which can undermine overall satisfaction.
