Pros

Save significantly with Safeway’s personalized savings engine: load digital coupons and weekly ad deals to your Club Card, unlock "Just for U" offers tailored to your purchases, and earn fuel rewards. Coupons are automatically applied at checkout, making it easy to maximize discounts without clipping paper or hunting for promo codes.

Shop the full Safeway catalog online and choose convenient fulfillment options—curbside pickup, scheduled home delivery, or same-day delivery where available—with easy order tracking and flexible delivery windows. Saved lists, favorites, and repeat orders streamline reordering for busy households, reducing time spent on weekly grocery trips.

The app’s intuitive interface makes browsing and planning simple: organized categories, robust search, barcode scanning, recipe integration, and smart shopping lists. Manage prescriptions and pharmacy refills, view order history, and use store locators for quick pickups. These tools improve efficiency and help you plan healthier, budget-friendly meals.

Cons

Delivery availability is limited in many areas, with scarce same-day or evening time slots during peak hours. Fees can spike for convenient slots, and minimum order requirements sometimes force larger purchases. Customers in suburban or rural locations may find delivery options inconsistent or unavailable, reducing convenience.

Inaccurate inventory and substitutions can frustrate shoppers. Items shown as available may be out of stock at pickup, and substitutes are not always comparable in brand or price. Price adjustments after order completion and unexpected out-of-stock messages can lead to refund delays and unsatisfactory replacements.

App performance and user experience sometimes fall short: slow load times, clumsy search filters, and occasional crashes hinder efficient shopping. Coupons and digital deals can be hard to locate or fail to apply correctly at checkout. Customer support response times for app-related issues may also be slow.
