Pros

RBC Mobile provides robust security and privacy with biometric sign‑in (Face ID/Touch ID), multi‑factor authentication, end‑to‑end encryption, and real‑time fraud monitoring. You can lock or unlock cards, set transaction controls, and receive instant alerts, giving you confidence that personal and financial data are protected whenever you bank.

Comprehensive banking features let you do everything from mobile cheque deposits and bill pay to Interac e-Transfers, account transfers, and credit card management. View balances and statements, pay mortgages and loans, manage investments, and schedule recurring payments — all within a single app designed to reduce trips to the branch.

An intuitive, customizable interface delivers personalized insights, spending summaries, budgeting tools, and timely alerts that help you stay on top of finances. Quick-access features — such as Favorites, branch/ATM locator, digital wallet support, and in-app messaging with advisors — make everyday banking faster and more convenient.

Cons

Occasional login and authentication hiccups can frustrate users. Biometric recognition and two-factor prompts sometimes fail, forcing repeated password entry or manual reauthentication. These interruptions slow routine tasks like quick transfers and balance checks, especially when users need immediate access or are in areas with spotty network coverage.

Limited international banking and cross-border functionality may disappoint frequent travelers. Currency conversion tools are less transparent, foreign transaction fees can be higher than fintech alternatives, and international transfers may be slower or more restricted. Users needing multi-currency management or low-cost global payments might find the app lacking.

Performance and usability issues affect the overall experience. Some users encounter slow load times, occasional crashes, or heavy battery and data use during extended sessions. The interface can feel cluttered with key features buried in menus, and limited personalization options make it harder to tailor the app to individual workflows.
