SkipTheDishes

Pros

SkipTheDishes connects you with a wide variety of local and chain restaurants, giving ample cuisine choices and customizable menu options. Advanced search filters and category browsing make it easy to find meals fast, while user reviews and detailed menus help you pick confidently for takeout, delivery, or scheduled orders.

The app offers an intuitive, fast checkout experience with saved addresses, multiple payment options including credit cards and digital wallets, and one-tap reordering from past orders. Real-time GPS tracking keeps you updated from kitchen to doorstep, reducing uncertainty and making it simple to time pickups or deliveries.

SkipTheDishes provides flexible delivery choices and reliable drivers, with contactless drop-off and scheduled windows to suit busy lifestyles. Regular promotions, loyalty offers and in-app discounts help you save on meals, while responsive customer support and clear refund policies give peace of mind when issues arise.

Cons

SkipTheDishes availability varies by city and tends to be concentrated in certain regions, so users in rural or suburban areas may find few or no participating restaurants. Even in covered cities, the app’s restaurant selection can be narrower than competitors’, limiting options for niche cuisines or late-night delivery.

Delivery fees, service charges, and surge pricing can make orders substantially more expensive than dining in. Some restaurants list higher menu prices on the app, and tipping expectations for drivers add to the final cost, creating unpredictable totals and reducing price transparency for customers.

Order delays, driver cancellations, and inaccurate ETAs are common pain points, causing frustration and unreliable arrival times. Customer support can be slow or limited when resolving missing or incorrect orders, forcing users to manage refunds or replacements themselves and weakening overall trust in the service.
