Realtor.com

Realtor.com is a popular real‑estate app that aggregates MLS listings to help buyers, renters and sellers find properties, evaluate neighborhoods and connect with local agents. It focuses on up‑to‑date listings, neighborhood data, school information and practical tools like mortgage calculators and saved searches to streamline the home search process.

Pro

1. Generally timely, MLS‑sourced listings provide broad market coverage and fast updates.

2. Strong neighborhood and school data that help buyers assess location suitability.

3. Useful tools (saved searches, alerts, mortgage calculator) that simplify house hunting and budgeting.

Con

1. Listing completeness can vary by market; some properties may be delayed, removed or lack full details.

2. In‑app agent contacts may generate outreach from multiple agents, which some users find intrusive.

3. Automated home‑value estimates are helpful for context but can differ from appraisals or agent valuations.

Frequently Asked Questions

How accurate are Realtor.com listings and home‑value estimates?

Listings are pulled from MLS feeds and local brokers, so they are generally current, but accuracy can vary by market; home‑value estimates are algorithmic and meant for guidance—confirm with an agent or appraisal for transaction decisions.

Is Realtor.com free to use and can I contact agents through the app?

Yes, the app is free to download and use. You can message or call listed agents directly through the app; contacting agents is free, though agent fees and commissions are handled separately in any real estate transaction.

Can I save searches and get alerts for new listings?

Yes — you can save searches, favorite properties and enable push or email alerts to receive notifications for new matches, price changes and status updates on tracked listings.
