Pros
The Lidl Plus app delivers consistent savings through digital coupons, weekly offers and instant checkout discounts. Simply scan your in-app barcode at the register to redeem personalized coupons on groceries and household essentials. Regular exclusive promotions and time-limited deals help shoppers cut costs without clipping paper coupons.
Lidl Plus streamlines shopping with digital receipts, purchase history and an integrated store finder. Track spending, access past transactions for easy returns, and use the app’s shopping list and maps to plan trips. Eliminating paper receipts reduces clutter and supports sustainability while speeding up in-store checkout.
The app personalizes promotions based on your shopping habits, delivering targeted discounts and exclusive offers you’re likely to use. Features like digital scratch cards, special-event deals and tailored recommendations help customers discover new products and maximize value, turning routine grocery runs into more rewarding experiences.
Cons
Lidl Plus collects purchase and location data to personalize offers, which raises privacy concerns for some users. The app links shopping history to a digital account and enables targeted promotions. Users uncomfortable with data tracking or preferring anonymous shopping may find these practices intrusive or difficult to opt out of.
Offers, discounts and availability vary widely by country and even by store, which can confuse travelers or multi-location shoppers. Some coupons are region-locked and not all promotions appear simultaneously. Expect inconsistent savings and limited support for stores outside major markets, reducing the app’s usefulness for occasional or international customers.
The Lidl Plus app sometimes suffers from slow performance, glitches and unreliable coupon redemption at checkout. Users report crashes, delayed offer updates and barcode scanning failures that block discounts. Technical issues, plus occasional confusing interface changes, can lead to lost savings and frustrating in‑store experiences.
