Pros
The Kroger app streamlines grocery shopping with easy online ordering, same-day pickup and delivery options, and real-time order tracking. Users can browse weekly ads, schedule pickups, and save favorite items for quick reordering—making grocery trips faster and more flexible whether you prefer curbside pickup or home delivery.
Kroger app centralizes savings through digital coupons, personalized weekly deals, and seamless loyalty integration. Clip coupons, earn fuel points, and receive tailored discounts based on shopping history—helping users maximize savings on groceries and household items without hunting for paper coupons or juggling extra loyalty cards.
The app enhances in-store shopping with barcode scanning, digital shopping lists, store maps, and personalized offers, plus streamlined pharmacy features—prescription refills, pickup scheduling, vaccination reminders, and medication management. These tools simplify trip planning, speed checkout, and keep health and household needs organized and accessible.
Cons
Users report occasional slow load times, freezes, and crashes—especially during peak shopping hours or while scanning barcodes. These performance hiccups can interrupt order placement, coupon clipping, and barcode redemption at checkout, reducing confidence in the Kroger app’s reliability for time-sensitive grocery shopping and pickup/delivery tasks.
The app’s digital coupons, personalized deals, and rewards system can be confusing to navigate. Users sometimes miss savings because coupons require manual clipping or specific card linking, and personalized offers aren’t always obvious. This complexity undermines convenience and can lead to unexpected out-of-pocket costs at checkout.
Real-time inventory data isn’t always accurate, leading to canceled items, substitutions, or frustrating last-minute changes to pickup and delivery orders. Limited time windows, additional delivery fees, and inconsistent communication from shoppers can make planning grocery runs harder and diminish confidence in using the Kroger app for full-service online orders.
