Pro
1. Enhanced Connectivity: Sky-Wifi-Drone application allows drones to serve as airborne Wi-Fi hotspots, ensuring connectivity in remote or disaster-hit areas where traditional networks are unavailable or compromised.
2. Real-time Data Transmission: The application enables the instantaneous transfer of data and live video streaming, crucial for time-sensitive operations such as search and rescue or surveillance.
3. Cost-Effective Deployment: Utilizing drones for Wi-Fi coverage is more affordable than setting up ground infrastructure, especially in hard-to-reach locations, reducing the overall cost of expanding network connectivity.
Con
1. Limited Coverage: The Sky-Wifi-Drone application relies on drones to provide internet connectivity, which can only cover a limited area. This means service can be spotty and may not reach remote or indoor locations effectively.
2. Weather-Dependent: Drones are susceptible to weather conditions. High winds, rain, or thunderstorms can ground them or hinder their performance, resulting in unreliable internet service.
3. Short Flight Times: Drones have limited battery life, which restricts their operational time. Frequent landings for battery swaps or recharges can lead to intermittent connectivity and potential service interruptions.
