FollowMyHealth®

Pros

Centralized, real-time access to your complete health record lets you view lab results, medication lists, immunizations, visit summaries and documents in one secure place. That immediate visibility reduces confusion across providers, speeds decision-making, and helps patients track changes over time without waiting for paper records or phone calls.

Seamless communication and scheduling tools simplify care: secure messaging with clinicians, easy appointment booking, refill requests, automated reminders and integrated telehealth visits keep you connected. These features streamline follow-ups, reduce missed appointments, and let you manage care from your phone or computer, improving responsiveness and continuity between visits.

Interoperability and patient empowerment: FollowMyHealth® connects with multiple EHR systems and providers, enabling coordinated care and secure data sharing. Mobile-friendly and HIPAA-compliant, it supports proxy access for caregivers and generates actionable reminders and health summaries that encourage adherence, self-management and informed conversations with your care team.

Cons

FollowMyHealth app’s interface can be confusing for first-time users; menu labels and nested sections sometimes make it hard to find medical records, test results, or billing information quickly. Inconsistent layouts between the web portal and mobile app increase the learning curve and reduce efficiency for busy patients.

Functionality and access in FollowMyHealth vary widely by provider—some features like appointment scheduling, secure messaging, or full record syncing may be limited or unavailable depending on your health system. This inconsistency can frustrate users who expect a uniform patient portal experience across different providers.

Users sometimes experience delayed notifications, message delivery issues, or occasional login troubles (password resets, authentication), which can disrupt timely communication with care teams. While FollowMyHealth uses standard security measures, managing privacy settings and ensuring correct data sharing across providers can be confusing for non-technical users.
