Pros

Save time with the Hannaford app’s online ordering and Hannaford To Go services. Schedule curbside pickup or delivery, manage orders on the go, and track fulfillment in real time. Streamlined checkout and timed pick-up windows make weekly shopping faster and reduce time spent inside the store.

Cut grocery costs using Hannaford’s in-app coupons and weekly circular. Browse personalized deals, clip digital coupons instantly, and apply savings at checkout for predictable discounts. Regular app-only promotions and targeted offers help stretch your budget while keeping you informed about sales and seasonal specials from your local store.

Stay organized with the Hannaford app’s shopping lists, recipe ideas, and store finder. Build reusable lists, sync items across devices, add items quickly with quick-add tools, and get local store hours and pharmacy information. These features simplify meal planning, make trips more efficient, and connect you with neighborhood services.

Cons

Hannaford’s app is tied to the chain’s regional footprint, so many features — online ordering, curbside pickup and delivery — are only available at participating stores. Customers outside the Northeast or in rural areas may find the app useless or face limited inventory, store selection, and service availability compared with larger national retailers.

Online orders often come with delivery fees, service charges or minimum order requirements that can erode savings from sales and digital coupons. Availability and pricing for delivery or pickup vary by location, and time slots can fill quickly, making convenient same-day fulfillment harder and potentially more expensive than shopping in-store.

Users report occasional usability issues: search filters can be inconsistent, product descriptions or images may be missing, and coupon rules or loyalty savings aren’t always clear. The app can lag or crash during peak times, and customer support for order problems sometimes requires phone calls or in-store resolution, adding friction to the experience.
