Contactless delivery, safety protocols, and responsive customer service add peace of mind, while personalized recommendations and local promotions enhance value and discovery.

Cons

Grubhub often adds multiple, sometimes opaque fees — delivery charges, service fees, small-order surcharges, and peak-time pricing — while some restaurants mark up menu prices for delivery. These combined costs can make orders notably more expensive than dining in or ordering directly from a restaurant, frustrating budget-conscious users.

Delivery experience and order accuracy can be inconsistent. Users frequently report late arrivals, cold food, missing items, or poor driver communication. Because drivers operate as independent contractors, service quality varies widely, and customers may face delays or limited recourse when orders go wrong.

Customer support and refunds can be slow or inconsistent. Resolving issues like incorrect charges, missing items, or refund requests often requires multiple contacts and waits, and responses may vary by region. This can leave customers feeling unsupported and uncertain about getting timely resolution for problems.
