Cons

Many Wallpapers apps rely heavily on ads and paywalls. Frequent full-screen ads disrupt browsing, while attractive high-resolution or exclusive collections are often locked behind expensive subscriptions. That makes finding free, quality images frustrating and can turn a simple customization task into a time-consuming, paid experience.

Live wallpapers and ultra-high-resolution images can drain battery, use more CPU/GPU, and slow older devices. Frequent wallpaper changes or animated backgrounds may cause overheating, reduced performance, and shorter battery life, making them impractical for users who prioritize device responsiveness and long battery endurance.

Image quality and compatibility can be inconsistent: many wallpapers aren’t optimized for different screen sizes or aspect ratios, causing awkward cropping or blurring. Additionally, some apps host user-uploaded content with unclear licensing, risking copyright issues or low-quality images, and occasionally ask for unnecessary permissions that raise privacy concerns.
