Pros
The Frontier Airlines app streamlines booking and trip management—search and book flights, view itineraries, modify reservations, and complete mobile check-in in minutes. Digital boarding passes integrate with Apple Wallet and Android pass apps, reducing airport lines. Its intuitive interface makes last‑minute changes and add‑on purchases quick and straightforward.
Receive real-time flight alerts, gate updates, and delay notifications directly through the app. Push messages keep you informed of boarding times, cancellations, and baggage claim details while in transit. Built-in flight status and tracking tools let you monitor connections and arrivals so you can adjust plans quickly and avoid surprises.
Maximize savings with easy access to Frontier Miles, Discount Den deals, and fare bundles right in the app. Manage and redeem miles for flights, track your membership status, and add checked bags or seat upgrades at reduced mobile rates. Personalized deals and price alerts help you secure the lowest fares before they sell out.
Cons
The Frontier Airlines app frequently pushes ancillary add‑ons during booking, making advertised fares feel misleading. Seat selection, carry‑on and checked baggage fees are displayed across multiple screens, which can confuse users and result in unexpected charges at checkout — especially for budget‑conscious travelers.
Many users experience performance issues with the Frontier Airlines app, including slow load times, occasional crashes, and syncing problems across devices. Navigation can be clunky when managing bookings or checking in, and some advanced actions—like complex itinerary changes—may only be possible via desktop or customer service.
In‑app customer support for the Frontier Airlines app is limited; resolving cancellations, refunds, or flight disruptions often requires calling the airline. Long wait times and restricted self‑service options make it difficult to handle irregular operations quickly, forcing passengers to seek help through slower phone channels or airport counters.
