Expedia App

Pros

Expedia’s app streamlines travel planning by letting you book flights, hotels, rental cars and activities in one place. Package deals and bundled bookings save time and money, while integrated itineraries, mobile check-in and ticket storage keep all confirmations, boarding passes and reservations organized for smooth on-the-go travel.

Find competitive pricing, exclusive mobile deals and meaningful savings through Expedia Rewards. Earn points on bookings, apply member discounts and access flash sales and promo codes for hotels and flights. Transparent pricing, easy reward redemption and bundle discounts help travelers maximize value on every trip without sacrificing convenience.

Powerful search filters and verified guest reviews make it easy to find the right property or flight. Filter by price, amenities, location or free cancellation, read user feedback and compare options side-by-side. The app also provides real-time alerts, booking confirmations and timely flight notifications to keep plans up-to-date.

Cons

Expedia's pricing can be confusing: final totals often change with added taxes, resort fees, or service charges at checkout. Promotional rates and package discounts sometimes vanish, and price-match promises aren't consistently honored. Travelers may find it hard to compare true out-the-door costs, leading to unexpected expenses and booking frustration.

Customer support on Expedia can be inconsistent: long hold times, automated chat responses, and shifting responsibility between airlines, hotels, and the platform complicate refunds or changes. Users report delays in processing cancellations and credits, making urgent itinerary adjustments or dispute resolution stressful and time-consuming, especially during peak travel disruptions.

The Expedia app sometimes suffers from bugs and confusing navigation: search filters can be limited or reset, availability discrepancies appear between app and website, and aggressive upsell prompts clutter the booking flow. These issues reduce trust and efficiency, forcing users to restart searches or call support to confirm reservations and rates.
