Pros
healow gives patients centralized, 24/7 access to their complete health records—including lab results, immunizations, visit summaries, and clinical notes—across connected providers. The consolidated view makes it easy to review history, share information with specialists, and stay informed on care plans, improving patient engagement and clinical decision-making.
With healow you can securely message your care team, request prescription refills, and book or manage appointments directly from the app. Integrated telehealth visits and automated reminders reduce phone tag and no-shows, streamlining routine interactions so patients get timely answers and faster access to care.
healow helps patients track medications, set refill and medication reminders, record vital signs and symptoms, and view trend graphs that support self-management. Family account features let caregivers monitor multiple profiles. Built to integrate with eClinicalWorks EHR and follow HIPAA security standards, it supports coordinated, private care.
Cons
healow can have limited interoperability with other electronic health record systems and third-party apps, making it difficult to consolidate records from multiple providers. Patients may find gaps in shared lab results, referrals, or medication histories when their providers use different EHR platforms, complicating care coordination.
The app's user interface and navigation are sometimes considered clunky and non-intuitive, especially for older or less tech-savvy users. Menus and features can be buried or labeled inconsistently, requiring extra effort to find appointment details, test results, or billing information, which may frustrate users seeking quick access.
Users occasionally report delayed notifications, syncing issues, or login troubles that prevent timely access to messages, test results, or telehealth visits. Two-factor authentication and password resets can be cumbersome, and limited in-app support means resolving account or technical problems may require contacting clinic staff, slowing down issue resolution.
