Princess Cruises

Pros

Effortless trip planning and bookings with the Princess Cruises app let you search and book sailings, reserve shore excursions, dining, and spa treatments, and manage staterooms from your phone. Mobile check-in, digital boarding passes, and itinerary syncing streamline embarkation and changes so your entire cruise is organized in one convenient place.

Enhanced onboard experience and real-time updates provide daily schedules, interactive deck plans, and push notifications for activities, dining times, and port alerts. Track onboard account charges, message fellow travelers, and receive personalized reminders so you never miss shows, shore excursions, or ship announcements while staying connected wherever you are.

Personalized convenience and savings: the app stores your preferences, Crown & Anchor loyalty status, and payment details to deliver tailored offers and priority booking. Complete pre-cruise forms, upgrade options, and quick purchases to speed embarkation. Secure payments and push deal alerts help you maximize value before and during your cruise.

Cons

The Princess Cruises app sometimes suffers from slow loading and occasional crashes, especially during peak booking periods. Pages like itineraries, shore excursions, or payment screens can lag or fail, creating frustration when making last-minute changes or completing reservations on mobile devices. This can lead to abandoned bookings and extra support calls.

The app lacks some desktop features, limiting advanced booking customization, fare comparisons, and detailed policy information. Users may need to switch to the website for complex reservations, group bookings, or managing special requests, and printing boarding documents, reducing convenience for travelers who prefer an all-in-one mobile experience without desktop access.

Account synchronization and communication features can be unreliable; users report login errors, delayed itinerary updates, and inconsistent push notifications. Real-time changes to shore excursions, onboard purchases, or dining reservations may not reflect immediately, forcing passengers to call support or visit the guest services desk while onboard during peak sailings.
