Core Wallet

Pros

This wallet provides robust security and true ownership by keeping private keys non-custodially on your device with encrypted backups. Optional biometric unlocking and hardware-wallet compatibility add extra protection, while straightforward recovery phrases and PIN controls make secure management and restoration easy for both beginners and advanced users.

Core makes discovering, collecting, and showcasing NFTs simple with an integrated gallery, clear metadata display, and easy listing and transfer tools. You can preview artwork, manage collections, and interact with marketplaces or peer-to-peer offers without leaving the app, streamlining NFT ownership and helping creators and collectors stay organized.

Designed for multi-asset users, the app supports diverse tokens and chains, in-app swaps, and fiat on-ramps for effortless funding. A built-in dApp browser, real-time portfolio tracking, and customizable transaction settings let power users optimize fees and confirmations while keeping wallet navigation intuitive for newcomers.

Cons

Limited token and NFT compatibility can restrict users. Core may not support every blockchain, token standard, or niche NFT marketplace, forcing collectors to juggle multiple wallets or use bridges. This complicates portfolio management, adds transfer steps, and can increase transaction costs and the risk of mistakes when moving assets between platforms.

Because Core is noncustodial, users bear full responsibility for private key and seed phrase security. Losing backups or falling victim to phishing or malware can lead to irreversible loss of funds and NFTs. Integrated recovery options are typically limited, so restoration relies entirely on the user’s personal backup practices and vigilance against scams.

Advanced features and crypto-specific terminology create a steep learning curve for newcomers. The interface and settings can feel complex without clear in-app guidance, increasing the chance of user errors. Customer support and troubleshooting resources may also be limited or slow, making it frustrating to resolve failed transactions, swaps, or account setup issues.
