Cons

Privacy and moderation gaps: ABPV’s recommendation engine collects substantial user data, and privacy settings are limited. Content moderation can be inconsistent, allowing inappropriate or copyrighted material to appear. Unclear data retention and sharing policies create uncertainty for users concerned about personal information and legal exposure.

Aggressive monetization: The app relies heavily on ads and pushy in‑app purchases. Free users face frequent video interruptions and limited downloads, while essential features—HD downloads, ad‑free playback, advanced filters—are locked behind subscriptions. Pricing feels steep compared to rivals, reducing perceived value for casual users and small creators.

Poor content organization: Search, tagging, and categorization are underdeveloped, producing duplicate uploads and noisy results. Lack of robust curation, playlists, and advanced sorting makes discovery and management frustrating for both users and creators. This inconsistent quality and weak navigation hinder retention and limit the app’s usefulness as a media platform.
