Protect payments and reduce parking fines with Passport Parking Canada’s secure, PCI-compliant transactions and digital receipts. Detailed transaction history and emailed invoices simplify expense tracking for drivers and businesses, while real-time payment confirmation and centralized account management help avoid penalties and streamline bookkeeping for frequent commuters and fleets.

Cons

The app often adds convenience or processing fees on top of posted parking rates in some municipalities, making digital payment more expensive than coin meters. These extra charges vary by location and can be unexpected, especially for infrequent users who don’t review final costs before confirming a session.

Because Passport Parking depends on a smartphone’s GPS and cellular data, spotty reception, dead batteries or app glitches can prevent starting or ending a session. Network or location errors may lead to missed payments or disputed tickets, forcing users to rely on customer support to resolve time-sensitive issues.

Coverage varies by city and lot — Passport Parking isn’t accepted everywhere, and account setup requires vehicle and payment details that some users find cumbersome. Travelers or visitors may need backup payment options, and the app’s zone lookup and permit rules can be confusing, increasing the chance of improper payments.
